Full time hourly employee expected to work forty hours a week on-site Schedule:
Schedule will consist of a mixture of weekday and weekend shifts with some necessary holidays and will be dependent upon the requirements of the department needs including a minimum of 8 hours per week that overlaps the overnight team.
Management Time Expectation:
75% Administrative, 25%Floor Floor time is inclusive of acting as a technician, observing the floor for improvements, delegating responsibilities on the floor, and/or training.
Administrative time is time spent off the floor conducting tasks such as performance reviews, project work, scheduling, etc.

Job Description:
This person oversees the technician department, reporting to the hospital manager.
They are responsible for ensuring the technician department provides the highest level of patient care which includes creating and managing effective training programs, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve the department, ensuring the floor runs well, and managing the performance of the technician department.
This role is also responsible for managing the performance and overseeing the job responsibilities of the assistant tech managers.
This person creates a positive and cohesive culture within the hospital.
Primary Job
Responsibilities:
1.
Oversee the technician department a.
This person is the leader of the technician department which includes overseeing operations, quality patient care, people, and driving short- and long-term improvement 2.
Create and Manage Effective Training Programs a.
Create and maintain training program materials to ensure they support the highest quality of patient care and excellence.
b.
Oversee the technician assistant managers and training coordinators to monitor progression and success of the training program and drive improvements where needed.
c.
Monitor scheduling and completion of the one-off training events designed to upskill technician department assistant managers and their support staff in recent innovations and identified skill gaps.
3.
Identify and Implement opportunities to upkeep and improve the technician department a.
Oversee satisfaction of internal and external customers, implement change as needed.
b.
Identify and implement short- and long-term improvements within the department.
c.
Create successful communication within the department including hosting department meetings and ensuring one-off updates are shared with each individual in the technician department, and the broader hospital when needed 4.
Ensure the floor operates well:
a.
Oversee client flow to ensure that clients and patients are seen and treated in a professional, timely and competent manner b.
Ensure policies and procedures are being adhered to including OSHA, DEA, and hospital policy c.
Spend assigned time on the floor problem solving, assisting in training, and identifying improvement opportunities.
d.
Pull case reviews for HM, HRAM, and AMO to review for hospital growth.
5.
Manage the performance of the technician department:
a.
Ensure effective performance management and development for the technician department through completed performance reviews at appropriate cadence intervals that include effective coaching and achievement recognition.
Review case studies monthly or when issues occur to help improve and develop skills and accuracy b.
Set career goals and enhance employee opportunities within the company c.
Acknowledge and review any employee concerns brought to your attention by other employees or managers d.
Escalate concerns that present a corrective action need, termination, financial risk, or reputational risk to the HRAM & HM immediately.
6.
Manage the performance of the Assistant Technician Managers and oversee their job responsibilities a.
Complete 30, 60, 90-day and annual performance reviews for the assistant technician managers under the guidance of the hospital manager.
b.
Ensure each sub-department is progressing appropriately and set action plans when not on track c.
Set overall timeframes for department progression d.
Review and develop employee goals bi-annually e.
Oversee and ensure effective completion of all job responsibilities f.
Oversee department scheduling a.
Review department schedules to ensure doctors are supported and labor costs controlled.
b.
Ensure scheduling processes and policies are followed.
7.
Cultivate and contribute to an engaging work environment a.
Ensure employees have a space to offer suggestions and have those suggestions discussed and acknowledged b.
Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, communication and cooperation among team members c.
Respond to communications in a timely manner d.
Model and support a work life balance and mental health awareness which includes escalating concerns regarding overall employee health to the People Operations Manager.
