Assistant Teachers are our primary focus for Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Pre-K classrooms Do you love working with children? Are you motivated? The Goddard School in Plainfield IL on Theodore Street, a premier private preschool, is looking for dynamic Assistant teachers with early childhood development assistant teaching and classroom skills.
Assistant Teacher positions are available in infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-K classes.
The ideal candidate will be motivated and prepared to become a key member of our growing team and is pursuing continued education and associate's degree in early childhood development.
Key Job Responsibilities/ Essential Functions is to Assist in the classroom by doing the following:
Energetic engagement and communication with individual children while teaching Interact frequently and respectfully with children and parents/guardians Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on the curriculum and learning goals Assist in creating a dynamic, fun, creative, and interactive classroom experience Assist in regular parent/guardian communication Follow all safety and health rules Keep the environment safe, clean and attractive.
Participate actively with the teaching team through communication Positive and participative team player with fellow teachers, director, and owners Minimum Qualifications/ Requirements 1
year prior experience in a childcare setting - Enrolled in an early childhood college program Superior skills in creating a dynamic, interactive classroom experience - CPR & First Aid Certifications (Preferred) We offer:
