Quick Apply Part-time 9 hours ago Full Job Description KENNEL ASSISTANT - VETERINARY HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED but WILLING TO TRAIN Right Candidate! A Kennel Attendant provides daily care, feeding and exercise of boarding and hospitalized pets, as well as performs proper sanitary procedures to provide the best care for our patients.
He or she also pays close attention to pets' status such as signs of stress and changes in eating or elimination habits, promptly notifying technicians and veterinarians when a pet needs medical attention.
Proper record documentation and accurate completion of boarding forms and cage cards is critical.
A kennel attendant must pay close attention to details, understand and follow proper feeding, medication, administration, and sanitation procedures and monitor boarding.
Kennel Assistant is also responsible for clinic cleanliness and disinfecting.
This includes sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing the lobby, exam rooms, treatment area, groom room and surgical area as well as the cages.
Must have weekend availability.
Must be RELIABLE and RESPONSIBLE.
